How To Apply

Denver Water’s online job application system gives our candidates greater flexibility in the application process.

• Applications are only accepted through our online application system.
• Human Resources will not accept or consider applications that are mailed, emailed, faxed, or dropped off at our office.
• No resumes will be accepted unless they are attached to an online application.
• Do not skip sections of the application and put SEE RESUME! Candidates will be evaluated on the information provided on the application, not their resume. Applications that are not completed may not be considered.
• Employment applications are accepted for current openings only.

Highlights of Denver Water’s application system

• Candidates create their own User ID and password.
• Candidates save their own applicant information in the system and update it as their skills or personal information changes.
• Each time candidates apply for a position, they will have the opportunity to review and update their application information.

Other Information Regarding the Employment Process

• Applicants who do not have access to the Internet at home can use computers with Internet access here at Denver Water or at a local public library.
• The deadline to submit an online application is 11:59 p.m. on the closing date specified in the job announcement. 
• Denver Water can extend closing dates on positions if an insufficient number of qualified applicants have been received.
• Candidates may be required to provide a current copy of their Department of Motor Vehicle record.  Denver Water requires candidates for driving positions to have a valid Colorado Drivers License and no more than six points assessed against it over the previous three years.
• Denver Water does not sell information about applicants to any third parties.
• Denver Water’s online application system operates on a secure server to ensure your privacy.
• Applications are stored for up to two years.
